What we do...

Guerrilla Management is an artist management company. We advise and put together the teams for musicians that want to achieve their goals by using successful & creative career strategies. Our motto is “we only work as hard as our artists.” It’s a partnership.

We also produce and handle logistics for award winning films & music videos, large scale festivals, themed special events, and whatever else a client wants to achieve (within reason). If we can't do it, then we probably know someone who can.

Catherine Enny is our founder. Her career kicked off in the early '90's when she developed, engineered, and produced numerous Orange County garage and punk bands you have never heard of. In 1991, she produced a young rock group out of Palm Desert, CA, called Kyuss. She managed and signed them to Chameleon/Elektra Records. Her forward venture in management resulted in signing Queens Of The Stone Age (Interscope), Monster Magnet (A & M), Fu Manchu (Mammoth), The Dwarves (Sub Pop), Sean Yseault of White Zombie & Famous Monsters. Then, in 1999, a move from Los Angeles to San Francisco brought on a whole new spin into the hip hop and political world with the signing of Michael Franti & Spearhead (Captiol/EMI).

Her industry roots also include a long stint in the Restless Records Marketing Dept and later a co-venture working with Warren Entner Management (Rage Against The Machine, Quiet Riot, L7, Deftones). They founded Ignition Marketing, one of the premiere ''guerrilla marketing/street promotions" companies to break emerging artists and established touring artists, including: NIN, Marilyn Manson, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, No Doubt, and many more Interscope, Sony, Warner, and Universal artists.

With Michael Franti & Spearhead, Guerrilla Management breaks ground in developing an 'enterprise approach' to the marketing of their lifestyle via DIY merchandising, music videos, digital promotions, filmmaking, green sponsorships, and community building based on what they like to experience in life and taste. Franti and Guerrilla also have produced a large scale free concert and festival in Golden Gate Park, SF, for the last 12 yrs called "POWER TO THE PEACEFUL", drawing an audience of over 80,000 people. In addition, they have produced an Award Winning full-length feature film titled 'I Know I'm Not Alone' based on Franti's journey into the war zones of IRAQ, ISRAEL, & PALESTINE, developed a merch company that practices sustainability, free trade, and profitability for its artists', and produces special events globally in the name of social justice and peace through music and action.

The 'enterprise approach' of looking at the artist's career as more than the music by holding successful business and practicing personal & creative integrity executed by hard work, hard play and a healthy balance is the Guerrilla ethic!

Who we are…

Ø John O’Malley joined forces with Guerrilla Management in 2003 after his worldwide backpacking travels turned into worldwide business travels when he brought Swedish rockers, Mando Diao into the picture, next The Backyard Babies, Von Iva, Little Birdy, The Ettes, and most recently signed the undeniable Mister Loveless….the luck of the Irish man has done well for us. He also handles sponsorships and music supervisor relations.

Ø Anita Akhavan manages all things promotion, licensing, charity projects, music license tracking plus film and special projects for Michael Franti & Spearhead. She is also our logistics go to girl for overseas special projects and events…she makes it happen for the big picture. Anita also takes leave to pursue her yearly Brazilian dance adventures in Salvador.

Ø Blythe Nelson our freshest manager handles pre-production and logistics for our artists, our special event productions, merchandise & creative concepts, and keeps our office in line. With her eye on the street and in the clubs we call her our tastemaker…she is definitely a ‘guerrilla grrrl’ working hard and playing hard.

Ø Tina Tainui manages Australia and much more…she is our concept girl and connector. Tina is a rock star in her own right juggling the worlds of styling, graff art, design and concept…She has handled tour promotions and relations for Michael Franti and styling for our music videos & photo shoots.
